Answer these questions about your home. It takes about five minutes, and there are no wrong answers.
We send your pack here.
For example: The Tidy family, or Sam and Alex.
Add everyone who will earn points. We suggest a weekly points target from each person's age: about 750 for adults, 500 for teenagers, 300 for ages 9 to 12, 150 for ages 5 to 8 and 50 for under-fives. Change any number you like. Smaller targets for children give them a fair chance at the top scorer prize.
Something everyone will look forward to.
We have filled in a suggestion. Most people earn somewhere between 500 and 1,000 points a week once the board is up and running. You can change the number, and you can change it again later.
Everyone shares the main reward. You can also give a separate prize to one person when you reach the goal. Leave this blank if you would rather not.
Optional. A minimum each person must reach to be in the running, so that everyone has to take part.
With children taking part we suggest the fairest option, so a child who beats their small target can win against an adult with a big one.
Add each room that needs cleaning, and tell us which floor it is on and what is on the floor. You can rename rooms, for example “Emily’s room”.
Tick what you have. Anything you leave unticked stays out of your pack.
Fetching kit from another floor or the shed is part of what makes a job harder, so tell us where each one lives.
Each one you tick adds its jobs to your pack.
Tick every age group that applies. Leave them all blank if there are no children.
Post, bills, phone calls, appointments and meal planning. These are often the jobs that get put off the longest.
Here is every job we would put in your pack, based on your answers. Untick anything your household does not do, such as cleaning a dog crate you do not have. You can add your own jobs at the bottom.
Working out your jobs.
